    Hi Folks

I've managed to get my hands on the latest Pilips iPod speaker dock as a preview model to demo in the shop.

Its called the DS9 Fidelio Primo. It hasn't even been launched yet:)

This dock is pitched towards the top end of the market and you can tell by its weight, comes in at 6.5kg and especially its sound quality- you get 50watts per channel driving 2x 1" tweeters and 2x 4" woofers, its a bass reflex design with twin ports located round the back

Its a rather sensual curved design which not only looks great but elimates internal standing waves - again all in the name of sound enhancement:)

It sounds excellent up and running with a powerful (but certainly not bloated) bass and nicely detailed higher freqs and with the free FIDELIO app (from the App Store) you can really tailor its sound via 5 band EQ or EQ Preset, helping you get the best out of it.

This dock takes the direct digital feed from your iPod so bypasses the ipods DAC circuits - again helping you get the most from your music - you are all using Apples Uncompressed format rather then compressig to 256kbps I take it!!

Have a look here for the full spec

And why not call in for a demo - we are taking orders for it

This unit will be available by the end of the month and will retail for €299.99.

So bring your iDevice along and have a listen to it
