I will admit it in a former life I was a Tayto, I could eat them for breakfast dinner and Supper and never get sick of them have had one bag in six months, had a vegetarian lunch today (only cause I and pulled random crap from the fridge while rushing for work)

so here I am half 3 tea break decided to go to the shop for taytos as i have 8pp left with dinner pointed n i couldnt even eat half a bag.. they just dont taste right!!

EDIT: Ps a bag is 6 fricken points I had always thought they were 5!! n that was bad enough but 6!! I feel robbed.. ps i ate the bag

You are too funny, this happens to us all :D

I read recently that this is a great fiber supplement that helps aide digestion. I know its stocked in Boots in the UK so hopefully it's stocked in Ireland too. Gonna get me some too ;)

Phew!!! Im glad i brought it up now... im SCARLET!!!! Tried taking senna... but ehhh no show.... :( I have to be careful about other supplements I take coz I am on warfarin and you would be surprised the stuff I can't take because of it... (like lemsip... like come on!!! ) Bought a bottle of orange juice this afternoon and thought that would do great things... then i saw there was 3pp in the small bottle!!!! it was like drinking a can of coke... so i just drank more water...

Im exactly like you dani... i really can't understand it at all... so between that and this blasted TOTM coming around I am going to be lucky if i hold onto my stone this week.... Heading for WI in a few mins and not lookin forward to it AT ALL!!!

Ali, i take either Lactose or Dufolax both over the counter in chemist and i find either works very well

thanks for all the replies re: "the problem" so glad to hear other people have either had the same problems or are going through the same... i was mortified bringing it up.... but im glad (although still scarlet haha!)

Its nuts that it is so bad considering how we are all eating and living so well and still our bodies play games with us...

Totally misunderstood the problem, think cos you mentioned it with TOTM I assumed. But I also am the same. Was going to bring it up ages ago but like you didn't want to. So glad you did cos there has been some great advice here!

Does anyone take multi vitamins? Have also been so tired lately like a lot of others have been mentioning. An I picked up a multivitamin for 80c in lidl. Have never taken any supplements before so just wondering does anyone find they help at all?

I need to ask a question.

I only started WW last week had my first ever WI tonight - I did really well, I'm very pleased with the way it's going.

The thing is, I never got another little green tracker book from my leader. Did she forget to give it to me or do you only get one for your first week? I know I can just use a notepad or diary instead but I found the little green book great. Its a shame I don't have one this week. :(

Ha I totally misunderstood as well, but have to agree I noticed it last week actually just before TOTM started, I sometimes think its related to our cycles as well, either one way or the other! I've always had problems so found over all WW had helped me :)

    dam bodies not working right!

Hey Cosmic - Yep you should have got a little green tracker book and you should get a new one every week. I was so excited about my 10% this week that I forgot to pick up mine too! Usually I pick up a couple just to have spares but I'm all out - ah well - back to the notebook for this week!

Don't know what's come over me, but I bought ANOTHER dress this afternoon! That's two dresses in a month, and the last time I wore one was 2007!! It felt great to wear the blue one I bought so today while in New Look I was browsing and saw this dress.

There was only one left and it was in a size 18. Now when I started WW in January I was about a size 24-26. I've shrank a bit, down to 20-22, but I thought that the 18 would be out of my grasp. I nearly died when I tried it on and it fitted me!! Plus it looked good!:D So of course I bought it :p So I feel really good tonight!

Super Stuff West Wing, such an amazing feeling isn't it. You are doing tremendous, good on you.

Ali85 - Fair play on the STS especially considering the lack of "movement".

Freshly squeezed orange juice and kiwis ars the best treatment for this, even 1 orange in the morning and 2 Kiwis a day for a few days should see this improving, it's such a dose though.

cosmic - Well done on your weight loss, each weigh in you get the green tracker so it's seems your leader did forget, if your leader isn't forthcoming in giving one each week be sure to ask, a notebook is fine but the tracker is the business.

Feeling blah and bloated at the mo, will be following my own advice I gave Ali85 i think lol, horrible feeling. I think my problem at the mo is too much carbs, had weetabix for brekkie the last few mornings and brown bread for lunch, normally wouldn't eat this much as i know it doesn't agree with me, guzzling the water but still feel crappy and of course TOTM is just finished. I always feel bloated the days leading up to and just after TOTM. Men are so lucky...

What are we like jumping on the scales so often, I was so bad for this but thankfully I only weigh myself at home once a week and then have official wi. I think I was a little obsessed with the scales for a while so just had to stop myself.

Great reading posts over the last few days, it does wonders for motivation.

Thanks for the replies JudyD and evadiva. I'll miss my tracker this week but I'll just have to be extra careful with my notebook. I'll definitely make sure to ask for one next week!

It's my first time posting on this thread but I've been on it pretty much constantly for the past week. Everyone's so so helpful, it's great!

Oh, well done on the 10% JudyD. Hope you feel more yourself tomorrow evadiva.

Actually, I just checked the WW website and there's a lunch time meeting near my work tomorrow. I wonder if I went in to ask the leader there for a tracker would they let me have one. I reckon I'll give it a shot and see.

What i found did work was 3 weetabix with fruit on it, in the mornings, it kept me regular i'd swear by it & i was REALLY bad :( now 'cos of ww I've cut it down to two weetabix but still have the same amount of fruit on top & its still working. Did for me anyway!

I find if I try take anything 2 make me regluar, I end up geting really bad wind pains in my guts, sometime almost crippling, thatl be for a day then the next day I'll b running like mad and then it just seems to go bac to normal but the whole cycle will start again!! I have bran flakes wit a banana for brekkie and oranges 4 my mid morning, I rarely eat bread, and its generally brown if I do, I'm trying to eat whole grains as much as possible, like brown pasta, couscous bulgar wheat, eating lentils somedays instead of carbs, truck loads of veg (my mother reckons I'm eating too much veg and that could be some of the problem!!!lol) I just really don't get how I can go from no movements to too many and very little normality!!!! I evn have a different job from the one I had the last time I was doin WW, iv a regular 9-5 and presumed a nice normal routine would work wonders for everything, whereas the last time I was working morn, noon and night and I never had these probs before!!!

Have you ever been to see your doctor about it, it may be worth your while to have a chat wit them. Are you stressed in anyway. My sister has quite a stressful job & would suffer a bit & her doctor reckons its stress related. She was told to cut down on too much fibre as it tended to block her up more. Sorry if that's a bit too much information but there is nothing worse than crippling pain.

I find I am tired all the time. I do not know what is wrong with me. Got full bloods done in my doctor a month ago and they all came back fine. I am usually in bed by 9.30/10 and asleep by 10.30/11 max on work days and luckily enough I have flexi time but lately I have been coming into work between 9-9.30am. I moved to a new apartment 8 months ago and for some reason I think it is causing my tiredness. In my old apartment (was there for a year), I was full of energy, in work for 8am, exercising 5 times a week minimum and I was heavier too. I also was only sick twice in that year (suffer from a bad immune system and weak chest so would usually be sick 2-4 times a year). In the 8 months I have lived here, I have been sick 6 times and I even feel like I am coming down with something now and I was only sick 3 weeks ago. Don't know what to do. Tied into a lease until June aswell :(
Hi Monife you need to get a carbon monoxide alarm for your apartment been tried like that is not right you can get them in any diy store:)

I'm the exact same as you Dani.... also with my mammy telling me that im eating too many veg! haha! We are back living with my mam while we save for a deposit and my family are real into their fried food and takeaways so the idea of a plate of veggies is something completely alien!! ha!

Today is a new day, I am going to make a conscious effort to be better. Last night, i was slightly bold and I got a singapore chow mein... It was soooo nice. Had half the tray so I pp at 11pp just to be careful... but this morning its back to cereal & fruit, then I have wheaten crackers with cheese and salad with soup, and im going for a Tikka tonight with brown rice... Hopefully I will start feeling some difference. Also going back to my exercise which I have avoided for the last 2 nights because I was feeling so yuck....

Back on the wagon, hoping for a big loss next week... :D

Good luck for the WIs this morning ladies!

I'm very close to thrown out all my size 14jeans, I think if I just get rid of them itl giv me the extra motivation 2 keep it all off because they won't be sittin in the press just incase the others get a bit tight!!!

Have started bringing my own milk into work - its only going to save me one pp a day on my cereal but I was getting to used to the taste of low fat - and I love skimmed milk. Also every now and then there is only full fat in work and that wastes so many pp. Trying to be as motivated as I can be. Have developed a taste for crunchy nut cornflakes - so tomorrow am going to go back to the healthier cereals, sugarfree alpen, weetabix or even just rice crispies!

Finally got the charger back for my computer so putting up all the recipes I have tried over the past couple of weeks up on my blog in the next day or 2! It feels so good to be able to update it again - it is definitely therapeutic.

Hi girls. I haven't had the courage to post here in a while!

The person I was going to WW quit, which left me without a lift and no way to get to a meeting. I organised other lifts & that - but I found it really hard to do on my own. It was actually lonely, even though I was doing well, I felt like I couldn't do it without support. Also, a change in family circumstances meant that I couldn't go to my regular meeting anymore, and I couldn't face joining a new class on my own.

I haven't been to a meeting in a month, and I feel like I'm slipping back into bad habits, eating just for the sake of it. I won't be attending meetings any more, but I was hoping if I stick to my PP - start today like I'm just joining - could I use this thread as my meeting?

I feel really down and disappointed with myself - and I'm a bit p!ssed off at that person to be honest - she begged me to join with her, I did, I lost 2 stone 9, she put on a stone, she left. I know I can't blame anyone else and normally something like this would spur me on, but I found it so hard to do it on my own. She's joined another slimming group now and keeps texting me with updates - she knows I don't understand anything about red days, or whatever the heck they call them - I just find it a little unfair.

I'm full of self-pity, as ye can see!!! I've also given up smoking, 2 weeks today - my appetite did increase for the first week but I've been filling up on water all week and it seems to be back to normal.

I'm currently 13 stone 13 lbs, I'm going to weigh in every Thursday like I always did, just on my own scales.

    Thanks for reading :o

Aw thats such a shame about your friend. It definitely is easier to have someone to go with, but I knew that if I waited until my mum and my sister were ready to join I'd prob have another 2/3 stone on. They both promised me they would rejoin with me on the first week of jan, and I was so tempted not to go on my own when they backed out. If you find a good class with a good leader then going on your own is actually easier than you think. I get as involved as I can and even though I am really shy I have got chatting to people in my class. If you can join one on your own I say go for it, nothing to lose but the pounds!!

Though if you are going it alone then this thread is great - def would not be doing as well as I am without it. So check in and use it as much as you can. Use it like your meetings, even if you are having a bad week post about it here! Helps you start fresh and be reassured that you can do it! Best of luck!

Morning all, congrats on the losses down 2.5 this week myself, really hoping for 14stone next week and goal the following week, but if it doesn't happen that quickly it will be fine too.
Interesting to read that so many of us are feeling so tired and irregular, I'm in the same boat, and have actually made an appointment to see the doctor this week for a check-up as its going on far too long.
We only got the latest pro u book last night, there were some lovely looking recipes in there, looking forward to trying the falafel in particular, has anyone tried it already?

Any ideas what people would order from here
    http://www.buenosairesgrill.ie/menu4.html

3 courses - was going to go for a 8oz fillet for main with side salad, but might see what catch of the day is or go for the tempura monkfish and pick off the batter?

Starter was thinking mackeral till i saw 150g is 9pp. Maybe the caprese salad, or the fishcakes?

Dessert then standard ice cream? and just eat one scoop?

Gonna keep all my weeklies for this, and try eat as few dailies that days. But if anyone has any suggestions and what they would pp each as that would be great :-)

    http://www.buenosairesgrill.ie/menu4.html

3 courses - was going to go for a 8oz fillet for main with side salad, but might see what catch of the day is or go for the tempura monkfish and pick off the batter?

Starter was thinking mackeral till i saw 150g is 9pp. Maybe the caprese salad, or the fishcakes?

Dessert then standard ice cream? and just eat one scoop?

Gonna keep all my weeklies for this, and try eat as few dailies that days. But if anyone has any suggestions and what they would pp each as that would be great :-)

I'd go with the steak... at least you know what you are getting.. I would find that menu difficult to pick from.. I am such a fussy eater, i would prob have the wings to start wipe out all my weeklies and cross my fingers for wi.. thats what I am doing this weekend... :)

Awh Shanna, you nearly made me tear up a bit there! Don't be so down hun, try and think of it as a positive thing you can do for yourself. Like if you're a bit quiet it's like taking baby steps to perhaps meeting a few of the people doing the same WW class as you or something. I go by myself, and you do feel like a bit of an eegit for a while, but then it becomes normal to just go along. But I totally understand, sure I went to a boxerfit class a while ago, I got there & didn't know the set up, there was no one collecting money just an empty cash box, that you put your money into & waited for others to put theirs in so you could take your change which was weird. Then I tried to say hi to the other few that arrived, about 5 or 6 girls with no real response, and they obviously all went every week coz they we chatting & the (guy) instructor was giving them hugs etc & I felt crap & left out. But then the guy said pair up and one person take the gloves & the other take the pad, and they all paired up & I was there & the instructor didn't say anything to me as I stood there, so I very quickly grabbed my money back & went home. Sometimes it's hard for sure to start something new by yourself, but the people in WW would I hope be one of the more understanding groups to join. Anyway best of luck with your home WI's! I'll be rooting for you! :D

Had another quickie WI this morning & the 1/2lb gain yesterday is now 1lb loss:) Now no more sneaky peaks:)

Just popped into cafe sol for something for lunch cos I forgot mine today, had the Chicken noodle salad, anyone have any ideas pp wise? Was thinking 8pp, or is that a bit optimistic? On Tuesday after weigh in I committed a HUGE sin!!!!

I went to the Chinese and had half a portion of chicken balls and 210g of chips!

I feel like so so so guilty! Granted I did have the points for them left over on the Tuesday, and my new week starts on a Wednesday!

I feel so bad for eating it that I hopped on the scales this morning and i'm up 2 pounds!

TOTM is on it's way and i'm pretty ehm 'blocked up'!
I'm gonna drink buckets of water and do a bit of walking every day for the week.

I just can't shake the feeling of badness for eating that chinese food!!

Actually, I just checked the WW website and there's a lunch time meeting near my work tomorrow. I wonder if I went in to ask the leader there for a tracker would they let me have one. I reckon I'll give it a shot and see.

The leader was just lovely and he gave me a tracker no problem. Woo!

    Hey everyone,
    Was down 3lbs today WOOHOOO!!!
I want to thank God and ....no really I want to thank the girls on here who told me last week to stick with it and I'd see a loss this week.
I reached goal three weeks ago but reduced my goal by 6ibs as it wasn't really goal if ya get me.
The I missed my class the last two weeks, picked up on two other classes I could get to but was up 1.5 the first week and then 1.5 last week.
I was being really good...well sticking to the programme & exercising so it was very disheartening.

True to form on this plan though it WILL show eventually. I just stuck with it and after good advice on here I varied my diet a bit. I actually had steak Tuesday AND Wednesday with loadsa veggies. Did not feel deprived at all!!!
I really hope though now I head downward with these 6lbs and get to goal if not by Easter, very soon after.
Going to make Ali's wedges recipe the weekend as a treat!:)

I've 2 queries.... First one. Due to stress of college/work I find myself craving chocolate ALOT.. I try to alleviate the chocolate craving by having some choc philly on rice cakes so that I'm not being as bold as having a bar of chocolate, but its still a nuisance. I've also tried the melting a tiny bit of dark choc and dipping fruit in for a healthier craving killer. Cannot stop snacking as of late! :/ Also, I measure my daily allowance of skimmed milk for my tea as one quarter of a pint, which is 1 pp. This is spread out over the day obviously. I also use another quarter of a pint in my weetabix in the morning, which would be another 1pp. Is it true that I have to pp my milk for the day as 3pp due to a half a pint being 3 pp?? I thought maybe not because I amn't taking it all in one sitting and it is being broken down in my body differently or somethin like that, no??

Honestly Cliodhna I wouldn't worry... I have some kinda naughty treat every week after WI.... I use the rest of my dailies then take the rest out of the following weeks weeklies. As long as you are careful for the rest of the week you should be grand. You are doing so well and we all know what its like to crave really bad stuff around TOTM. Im a wagon for it.

Am sticking within my pp today. I am going to the cinema tomorrow night so want to have some yummy popcorn and that then...

Went out for a walk when I got home from work and Im going to do my Wii games later on after dinner... Am thinking of fish and loadsa veggies.... :D

Thank you girls, I still don't think I can face a new class, just feel like a total eejit, was bad enough in my old meeting after my friend left, sitting there on my own like a fool! To be honest, I find it more supportive here than I did at my meeting. My leader is absolutely lovely, but I just felt sometimes like I wasn't getting anything for my money - just flinging a tenner away every week and not learning anything new.

Going to stick to it this week, am doing out my shopping list tonight on the tesco online website - I find it great because I have to stick to the stuff on the list and I know exactly how much everything costs!

Here's to a good week and a great loss x
