    Consumer Issue?

Can you not ring Lidl in Wexford and ask them?
    Maybe it's specified on lidl.ie?

    1. Go to lidl.ie
    2. Select Republic of Ireland
    3. Choose your local store
    4. Click the offers tab to see if our item is listed
    5. If not listed, ring them and ask.

You can't ring specific Lidl stores, just a central helpline, FYI

    In before the lock.

I've some in my fridge, they were doing 8 cans for a fiver last week.

If the local 'guardians of the bridge' ever work up the energy to get up as far as Lidl they'll think they're in heaven.:D

I once brought 24 Excelsior to a festival, and left 22 behind. Nuff said.

I think all Lidl stores stock it, why you'd want it I don't know, awful stuff, theres an Aldi in wexford, they do the better cheap beer imo, if you want to stick with Lidl try perlenbacher, not cans unfortunately though

Even the Galahad in Aldi is better beer for a similar price.

Agree with TheChevron, I get Galahad whenever I'm in there. Much better than the Lidl muck.

€7.99 for 12 cans of Galahad in Aldi.

The other stuff isn't bad out of the fridge,I've had worse.

Brilliant, a whole thread to a beer just as bad as dutch gold. I once tasted excelsior (say it with a lisp) and my best description of it is water ran through a bag of copper coins.

Most of these cheap European beers taste the same.
Does any one remember the small green bottles {Blonde Bier}.

i think your all a bit too fussy*...often had that blondy stuff...takes about 90 of em to get ya drunk but what the hell..you get 90* bottles of em for a tenner anyway back in the day.

excelsior is watered down stuff alright but shur itd keep ya goin wouldnt it in these recessionary times...thats whats wrong with this country these days... too many high ideas and people have forgotten that excelsior beer would of been champaign* in days gone by :)

*might be stretching it a little
