Has anyone had any trouble getting app world to work on their curve?

I can install it but that's it. I can't find it on the BB and when I try to download apps it tells me that they can't be stored.

However, if i delete app world, I can download apps that way????

After you installed it did you try a battery pull?

Do you have BIS? What network are you with?

I think this is your problem. In order for a Blackberry to function as a Blackberry it needs a service called BIS (Blackberry Internet Service). Without it it doesnt do too much. If you get meteor to add it they will probably give it to you free of charge for 3 months then charge you 9.99 per month there after. This will allow you to use BBM, Email, Blackberry App world etc... Just call them and ask them to provision your PAYG account with BIS

What APN are you using. Under settings, advanced settings, tcp/ip

tick the enable apn box and put in
    blackberry.net

no username nor password needed. Now save the settings and reboot the device. test app world now

And BIS is definietly on your account? It's very strange. You should be flying. You've downloaded appworld from:
    www.blackberry.com/appworld

I think you're going to have to call meteor to double check provisioning.

I'm outta ideas. You've plenty of app memory, you've the latest appworld, you've the correct apn, you've battery pulled. The only thing left is to confirm with meteor you're provisioned correctly.

Is it a meteor device? Have you registered it on:
    http://meteor.blackberry.com
