    Hi,

I am looking for a "dumb screen" with the best picture quality for 600 Euro.

It will mostly be used for watching movies, and as a large screen for my pc. A PC will be the source for everything (vga or hdmi)

At the moment, I am considering the LG 50pk350, I am wondering would I get a better picture quality by choosing a smaller tv? If so, what should I consider?

    Cheers!

Sound will be through existing amp, so SQ not an issue.

    Hi Ready.

The LG that you mentioned would be one that I wouldn't really recommend as it's a plasma and you may have the issue of screen burn if you use the PC as a main source.

I know it's very good value but if it's picture quality that you are after, then I would suggest looking at a 40"/42" instead.

The Philips 40PFl5605 at £549.95 / 629 Euro would be a very viable option. This is a 100Hz LED model that is excellent quality and focuses on quality instead of bells and whistles.

The Other option would be the LG 42LX6900. Although this is a 3D model which you may never make use of, it's one worth looking at in terms of quality also. It's the same price as the Philips.

Let me know what you think.

    Regards

    Dave
