League of Legends (LoL) General Chat Thread

I've had a horrific streak the last 10 games, 8 out of the 10 games we had either disconnects / random afk's unexplained.

2 games we were winning and first game premade 3 did a surrender vote while we were in enemy base closing in on nexus, my friend hit yes as a joke but so did the other 3 . We lost .. at their nexus with all our turrets up bar 2.
Another game, I carried really hard ..was very proud of myself and then for some reason our caitlyn has a problem with our top lane nidalee who got a 'ks spear kill' .. it was actually clutch if anything, so caitlyn afk'd and then came back and fed.

All these losses have stacked up and now Im starting to play rather derpy myself, I need like League Viagra right now to get my confidence back up.

Got my win streak to eight before it was abruptly ended.

A Yorick was playing top lane being a solo hero. We had won a good teamfight and positioned for drake, and as we were doing it, the Yorick tp'd back, in order to get back top to farm.

While this was happening the other team saw only two of us and jumped in, thankfully my Amumu ult got is out.

I calmly pointed out that he needed to be more team focused, and not worry about his farm, he was ahead and we needed to play smart with objectives

STFU Amumu, noob jungler, talk more I afk

So I stopped talking. My blue was invaded at the game start and I got two kills including first blood, from being jumped on. I was counter jungling a Shyvana. I had got my bottom ADC carry fed to 6-0.

I'm not pro, but I wasn't doing badly either.


So I decided not to return comment and on we played. The enemy team all came mid, and we were all mid aswell, bit of dancing, getting ready for the initiate. Just as one of their players moved out of position, I tossed him, and in I went with ultimate, although as I looked back to make sure people followed, I noticed the Yorick running away to top, where a big wave had formed.

The fight went bad for us obviously, with us taking down 4, but leaving one up, and Yorick up top solo farming.

I bit my tongue and just carried on. The ADC on the team was clever, and he had a pop at Yorick. Who responded with some childish remark, calling the ADC who is now 8-1 "noob".

Next team fight arrives, and we get jumped on, we focus their ADc and AP mid, and are on top, then Yorick shows the skills. We had locked the AP Ahri down fast and ruined her HP and made he run out of the fight, but the glorious Yorick chases, and I mean chases.

He chased from Drake all the way top, all the way back to her base tower, to get the kill at the inhib. In this time we lost the teamfight by a fraction, and his Ult would have kept our ADC up enough to clean house.

So I literally snapped, and started asking what the **** he was doing, a 1hp Ahri running back to base wasnt important etc etc.

Say ty to Amumu, I'm now afk

And then we played 4v5 for the rest of the game and lost. Pretty infuriating. He kept mentioning how its a game, and he will do what he thinks is fun etc.

I'm all for fun, but thats what unranked is for. Ranked is for people trying to improve their rank, and that depends on having 4 good players with you.

The amount of retards and piss poor players is UNBELIEVABLE in this game. Like I didnt go near Ranked S2 until I felt comfortable with my game, had all the right runes etc. and had a few roles to play.

At the end of the game, the enemy team posted striaght away did we want to report Yorick, so hopefully he is banned, unbelievable that my winstreak is ruined by that ****.

And its annoying because I simply logged out of the game didn't play again that day.

I'm truely understanding the meanings of "ELo Hell" and "Toxic" and can't wait to hit 1800+ to try avoid this nightmare of ****bags playing ranked

Once again, this is the way of LoL.

Soon as anyone insults me as jungler, i ignore them(click that ignore button on scoreboard screen) and report at end of the game with an explanation. That last bits important because people actually bother to read it in tribunal rather than just a report (i know i do).

As he said its a game, so you should treat it as such. Many a time I've been infuriated by team mates staying in their lane when you ping furiously and clearly there's a TF in our jungle. You just have to laugh it off. I usually throw up a 'xD' if I'm angry to avoid becoming the 'Toxic' players i hate.

Right now I'm on a 4 game losing streak. It hurts when your winning your lane or ganking another a lane only to hear 'An ally has been slain' somewhere else....over and over.

Lesson: Don't rage - Buy wards

It really is all about your mentality when playing, you cant always rely on your team because 70% of people who play just rage and flame for fun. Best thing you can do is to play with some friends, i played last night and we end up losing our first game because 1 person took the wrong champion by mistake and i ended up going bot lane as an ap carry, i was the only one on the team that had a positve score, but it doesnt matter that we lost and they fed, we just had so much fun playing. the game after there was only 4 of us so the 5th player was a random, he started to feed and rage so we all just ignored him and continued having a laugh and still lost anyway lol. once your having fun you dont mind losing, but when it comes to play solo queue you just have to keep calm, most important thing you can do is just ward, ward controll = win. doesnt matter if 1-2 people are feeding, you can still win if you know where they are and you can use that to your advantage. If anyone wants to play sometime with me and my friends just add me "offalo" ive also started to do livestreaming every night if anyone is up for playing while i live stream or simply want to watch. in-game name - offalo livestream, twitch.tv/offalo

played a game there 2 days ago, I went bot lane with cait, had a blitz support.

back and forth etc, we got their tower, bit of a nice gank and threw my ult down on talon I think.
lee sin flies out of the jungle and starts running behind him to block it.

my ult goes off, Blitz flashes over the wall, throws his arm out, grabs lee sin (must have been at max range) and my ult takes the kill.....

that blitz... amazing... we were talking after and hoping someone had it recorded but sadly not!

God, the feeling when you get to beat the prick who was on your team in the next game though.. Glorious. Some A****mu fed a Teemo double buff at top and then bitched when I lost my tower real early whilst not losing the farm. Absolutely got to smash his face in the next game with a 10 0 6 Rocket girl Tris spamming laugh all game.

I've recently got back into LOL... forgot how much fun it was. (although i'm currently relearning stuff so only playing against AI)

Bought Nidalee last night...

Tons of early game sustain as shes fast enough to skip boots for armor & 5 pots as well as her primal surge for healing..
Mid-Late game ... Her burst is unbelievable. and escaping ganks & lost causes is so easy !

For mid I like buying crystaline flask and wards early on, then backing once I have the money for kages and another ward. Place traps the moment they are off cd to cover u from every angle.

Top though I can see the benefit of early armor but id still be tempted to go down the same route.

I did the same as AD carry twitch, flask and pots.

First back had 2 kills and 70cs. Sent the enemy vayne and lux back after a few minutes.

Me and my brother are trying to play this on the same eircom router at home both it wont seem to let both of us connect, is their anyway to fix this and if not could someone recommend a router from argos that would allow us to?

What makes you think it's the router? I've played with two people connected through an Eircom router just fine.

Strange i've played with 2 other people on the same connection.

Some obvious things would be:

Computer actually connected
2 separate LoL accounts
No severe firewalls blocking.
Can play it solely on each Comp.

What exactly happens?

There never was an energy regen mastery. There are runes and they're still there.

Does anyone have or know of a good guide for noobs ?
I've never played it, downloading atm.
But I hear the community is full of ***** who just aren't taken to assisting new players , especially ingame.

Everyones gotta start somewhere though, anyone any advice before I brave the backlash of the LoL ingame rage ?

If you've never played a MOBA before it's going to take awhile to get used to. Just enjoy yourself and have fun with the leveling experience.

If someone is raging at you for no good reason just mute them and report them after the game.

And if you have questions just ask here or the above linked sub-forum of the official LoL forums. Reddit has a very active sub-reddit for LoL too and another that is specifically aimed at new players.

Today is the 4th time i have downloaded/installed LOL, and each previous time i played 1 game and thought it rubbish. Which is odd considering the amount of time i put into another MOBA called SMITE.

Although played a game today as Taric and really enjoyed it. I think playing as a support/tanky character is the best thing to do as a new player since there is more room for error. Thats the easy part though. Now i just gotta learn the skillset and how best to face 100+ champions :mad:

You should try out Nunu too. He's quite naturally tanky, has one high damage ability you need to keep track of and nice sustain in the form of a heal if you're being bullied in lane.

When I was starting out I watched the some champion spotlights on Riot Games' youtube channel between matches in order to get a feel for what enemy champs can do to me.

Also play with bots. I didn't when I started out and I quit a lot because of it. Later on though I would play bot games with my friends and we always loved it. I regret not practising on bots earlier.

Play Leona. Great craic.

Playing support is a very good way to learn the game and you can carry hard enough at low elo because supports at that level are typically atrocious. Just remember, wards and lane presence. Plus the likes of Sona and Leona have teamfight-changing ults.
