Guy on Thomas St with Sun Glases

    Does anyone know who that guy is who hangs out on Thomas St in the morning with white hair, tash and wears sun glasses, sometimes he has a small radio.

    Everytime i pass he says Paddy give us a pound, then shouts some pronfanity.

    Is he homeless.

    He made his money in property back in the 80's. He owns a house in Rathmines but he gets up early every morning and spends most of his day walking around.

    its just i saw him coming from the direction of the SVP hostel early one morning.

    did he fall on hard times or whats his story?

    He helps out there sometimes, giving back to the community and all that.

    He's a good lad, bit eccentric though.

    He's from the West of Ireland somewhere hand has been hanging around Thomas St for years.

    He was always considered fairly aggressive when I was in college on Thomas St. He'd randomly shout obscenities at girls coming in and out of the college.

    he's from sligo....get's very animated around championship time..

    (well he wears the sligo colours anyway..headband etc)
