United are going to some lengths in retribution, a volcano in Iceland!

Think I heard on the news yesterday that there have only been 1 or 2 super injunctions this year so it isn't as common as made out. Didn't know Gerrard had one?

As for the player, not the smartest move looking to sue Twitter users and the free speech on the internet angle, look what happened Sony!

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

John Hemming is the MP who named Ryan Giggs as the footballer that got the super-injunction. To quote John Hemming is not to break the law because he is subject to parliamentary privilege. All the papers that have Giggs' face plastered over their front pages are merely quoting the MP so aren't breaking the injunction.

John Hemmings MP has a much more interesting backstory than Giggs :D

    What?

Ah c'mon, club rivalries aside, I've no sympathy for people in the public eye who get caught doing this.

Why should the public be classy when the person in question hasn't?

I've no sympathy whatsoever for Giggs either, I'm just reluctant to say what I really think about him just in case it comes back to bite me in the ass. ;)

When I said respect, I didn't mean respect for Giggs, but respect for Man U fans. This isn't something that should be used to wind people up on here, that's all I'm saying.

Like Terry, Rooney, and every other footballer etc, the whole thing will blow over in a couple of weeks.

Why do people give a sh!t about these things anyways? I'll never understand it.

Any journalist worth their salt should be concentrating on the Champions League final, given the week thats in it imho.

And it is highly ironic that Hemmings, of all people, should be the one to blow the whole sh!t storm wide open.

Its great to see United fans now saying that it dosn't matter :D When it was Terry and Gerrard it was the most disgusting thing that could possibly happen in the world ever. But now its just "It means nothing" :D

I think we mean it affects us in absolutely no way whatsoever. We were all dissapointed in Rooney aswell, do you forget that? People make mistakes. This is a man who has given 20 years service to this great club and nothing he does off the field is going to change that. He's an United legends ffs that's all that matters to me anyway.

So now we know why Giggs' fitness level is through the roof for a man of his age!

Because Ryan Giggs for many years now has been described as a 'model pro', 'an example to others', and terms to that effect . He was promoted as being 'better' than the other bling obsessed superstars.

This media (and United) approved image is why he got the BBC sports personality of the year award only a few years ago, despite not being the most,or 2nd most, important figure in that United double winning side.

In the case of Rooney - or Gascoigne from yesteryear - they have had the tag of 'troublemakers' on their back from an early age, so people are more likely to shrug their head when they hear about them being involved in an extra marital affair or whatever.

Don't get me wrong - at his peak he was a wonderful, quick player, who I got to see at Old Trafford (and other grounds) on several occasions. But away from that, I, or anyone else, has a right to be critical of the guy.

    Cheaters X Eleven!

I tell you what, this is starting to look like a pretty good team!

    Terry CB
    Cole LB
    Giggs Wing
    Rooney Forward

If we expand it worldwide, can we get a "decent" eleven players involved in major scandels?

Ribery is pretty good at football imo.

Personally I don't care what the chap gets up to, once it doesn't affect Manchester United! It's scummy yeah, but really none of our business. It hasn't tarnished any of the many great memories I have of him playing for Utd.

Think the problem with Rooney was more so that he wasn't performing well on the pitch, plus the looking for a transfer nonsense/commenting about the club. Similarly for Terry, his antics would have affected the England squad (for those who would care about that) so therefore different scenario to Giggs.

giggs now rumoured to have been getting it on with his sister in law, and her mother, although not at the same time.
