Waterford to Lorient France

Hiya Just wonder if anyone has any recommendations on where to stay in or around Lorient ? Thinking of going there in August with my wife, Wouldn't be adverse to doing a bit of driving to get somewhere quiet. My wife is pregnant so we wont be doing anything hectic, few nice restaurants would be great. Or any other…

I would suggest Carnac. It's only about a 40 minute
drive to the coast from the airport. The weather can be very like Ireland so if your looking for sun, you maybe dissapointed, Les Sable-d'Olonne is south of Nantes a beautiful olde worlde resort about an hour and a half drive or another hour down you have La Rochelle a lovely big town and marina full of restaurants, if you are in this area check out this theme park, Puy du Fou , not your run of the mill park no rides etc an historic look at France really worth a day spent there.
