First you need a gun license then you need a safe etc.Like a viable reason to have the gun.

No I don't want to use the gun once the bullets are gone, I just want to know if the neighbors here a few shoots and the garda come that they cant do anything as its my land

What you are saying/planning to do is ILLEGAL.

If the Gardai come and catch you, on your own land or not, you are guilty of:
    • Possession of an unlicensed firearm.
    • Possession of ammunition without a valid lincese.
    • Discharging an unlicensed firearm.
    • Storage of an unlicensed firearm.
    • Public endangerment (possibly as you obviously have no lincese therefore have not completed a safety course).
Then the person that gave you the gun is also guilty of:
    • Supplying an unlicensed person with a firearm.
    • Supplying an unlicensed person with ammunition.
As we do not allow illegal activities to be spoken of or condoned here i am closing this thread with a strong warning for you to do one of the following:
    1. Get the firearm to a Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD) and have it stored there until you get a license.
    2. Return the firearm to the original owner if you do not intend to license it.
    3. Do not fire the gun anywhere.
