Anyone have experience with C64 1541 drive?

    Hey Fellow Retro's,

    I bought a box full of C64 goodies on ebay the other day. The box arrived and it was full of games, a C64a, Cartridges, joysticks,etc. I must post up some pictures laters, some very nice floppy games including a perfect copy of Elite on floppy. Paid 30 quid for it, it was like buying a mystery box:)

    However, I cannot get the 1541 to operate. Basically, the two LEDS (green and red) turn on, and both stay on, the spindle \ motor does not move.

    As far as I know, doesnt the motor run of the 12V line?

    Any other thing I should look out for?
