Very good programme from Spotlight lastnight.
I think Mary Travers' brother and sister spoke very well.
It gave you a good insight in to the impact of victims of the Troubles.
All of Mary Travers' siblings now live outside Northern Ireland...with her mother the only one still in Belfast. I can see how they compare finding the truth about their sister's death as a form of a jigsaw with missing pieces.
Also touching to see Mary Travers' primary school pupils sing Ave Maria the next day after her killing.
Mary McArdle despite earning 80k from the tax-payer will still not co-operate with HET. For the Mary Travers murder...and another killing where she may have been the getaway driver according to the HET.
Even Sinn Fein's Caral ni Chuilin cut short her interview when asked if Mary McArdle would help the HET team in investigating the Travers murder.
Can you believe Mary McArdle waved from the dock to her supporters who cheered when she was sentenced to 18 years for the murder of an innocent youndg school teacher.
There should be no high salary "gifted" job for anybody in Northern Ireland for someone who still hides important information about a killing they were involved with and who has never said they were sorry for it.
Also shame on the DUP and in particular Peter Robinson for not doing more to contest the appointment...there was even a clip of Mr Robinson cracking a joke about not being allowed to mention the words "special advisor" at a banquet he was at!
