Price on headstone??

Hi All, Anyone know what the average cost is for putting up a headstone, kerbs etc on a new grave is locally? Had a quote of starting at €4000 but that seems a little steep!

I just checked some, they seem to range from 1927-2011*

*Perhaps a bit sick, but for humour value I thought it worth it.

paid 2300 for a really good quality job in the last couple of months, check quality of cheap offers, one company is using stone slips etc and facing the kerbing only not solid stone, pm if you want a name of the guy i used
