Last stage of this year's Giro. Bert has it wrapped up, but the fight is still on between Scarponi and Nibali for 2nd place. Scarponi has a 56 second advantage on Nibali but Nibali is the better TT rider. Should be interesting viewing.

Why would Scarponi push a big gear when climbing and (semi) spin in the TT?

It's how he feels he does his best given the horrible state they're bound to be in at this stage?

Or maybe he's just gone mental.

Will Gadret still be a domestique for Roche after that 4th place finish. No mean feat after all that climbing.

Only 5 weeks til the Tour kicks off, and Nico has been training specifically for it while Gadret has been flogging his nuts off up the Zoncolon and co. Is the die not already cast on this one, and the real discussion about who would lead the team in the 2012 TDF?

So who's going to win the 2011 Giro d'Italia?

Gadret will be awarded the victory posthumously, on conclusion of the doping investigations sometime in 2111. The panel of quantum machine intellects will determine that he is the first objectively clean rider in the GC, on account of his Frenchness.
