Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The acid in lead-acid batteries is Sulphuric Acid, which is highly corrosive, and the gasses it emits under various circumstances are mostly Sulphur Dioxide and Hydrogen.
None of these materials can in any way be considered "good for ya", so they are best avoided as much as possible.

    ADDED:
    Lead–acid battery risk of explosion

    Are ya serious !!
The battery is boiling because it is being seriously overcharged, you need to be careful if this explodes when you are near you will get serious, serious acid burns.. not to be made a joke of..

Looks like a future Darwin Award nomination, if not a winner. Let's hope it doesn't get to that stage.

I seen a fellow one time stick his tounge into each of the cells on a battery and took a good taste of the acid. When I asked him what the hell was he doing, he said he was tasting the acid to test the battery to see if was charged. He genuinely thought that the stronger the acid tasted, the more charge was in the battery.
