Hello all, I want to get the outside of my shed rendered. Total area is 48 X 8 foot. How much sand is required and how many 25Kg bags of cement? Im open to the option of getting pre mixed bags if you guys recommend it.

1.5 tonnes of washed sand. Depending on mix required (background etc) 13 cement approx. If doing a 9:2:1 for the floating coat get a bag of Lime as well.

Just an addition, if you can have someone collect from a quarry rather than buying bags of sand, you should save a few bob. You'll also need angle beads for corners, and 48ft of stop beads/2x1 to form a plinth if needed, and waterproofer/plasticiser...
