True but it made me remember that I wanted to point out that finally we can use those Chocolate Covered Mikado Elite biscuits coupons (you get from pigsback) in Tesco, SuperValu and Dunnes, yay! (apparently they are down to 1.99, minus 1 euro coupon=.99 cents :D)

You sure they have been reduced? I bought a pack in tesco a few days ago and they were 2.60 I think

Unsure about Tescos but they are definitely reduced in SuperValu to €2!

No, I am not sure as I was quoting Bubblegum on Facebook, hence I wrote "apparently"...they said it yesterday at 2 pm, so it may be from yesterday...

I will know only on Saturday.

    Hey there boardsies! :)
Viewing an ad on TV for "Extreme Couponing" made me think of past times when I was still leaving in my country of origin (Italy) where coupons seems to be more common/easy to find and use both on and off line...
So I thought, why not open a thread to keep notice of all coupons retireving occasions in Ireland?
Is there anyone interested? Are there any desperate housewives round here (or househubbies for that matter)

Looking around in "the real world" and the net, and also thanks to other boardises here in the Bargains section here's what I found till now:

    Online -->

www.pigbacks.com , decent on-line resource, subscribe to the food&grocery newsletter and they will e-mail you when they put up new coupons to be printed, ot go to the "coupons" section from the menu on the top of the page

http://www.loveirishfood.ie and more specifically http://www.loveirishfood.ie/coupons.aspx , there is little on at the moment but hopefully more coming

http://www.moypark.ie/ doesn't have coupons on as per today's date but should usually have them

http://www.glenisk.com/ subscribe to the newsletter fromt he menu on the left of the page to receive coupons

https://www.cushelle.com/ offers a coupon (but I am sure there are ways to print more than one for family) for 60 cents off, they also deliver it to your door in case you are printer-less

    http://www.bigals.ie/ and more specifically
http://www.bigals.ie/Sizzlin-Summer-BBQ-Offers.56.1.aspx different range of bbq related coupons (double take if you "like" them on FB as per FB widget on the left)

http://www.todayfm.com/Libraries/Today_FM_Documents/Persil_Voucher.sflb , a temporary coupon for Persil Liquid, valid until December 2011

    Offline -->

In my local SuperValu (Wicklow Town) I found a Hellmann's recipes booklet (with brownies one the cover??? lol) with a 80 c off all mayonnaise range products. Booklets are free so pick up as many as u need, I am pretty sure same booklets can be found around Ireland and in different supermarkets too.

I am sure there is more around, both in "real life" and online, I will try to update this when I find out more but what about maybe make a sticky of this, Mods?

Also...anyone want to share some stories about your couponing successes or less? I am a noobie again anyway :)

That programme was brilliant. Im originally from the States, I wish they had a similar system here, would be great.

Just a tip for you... when you are walking in the door of woodies, they normally have the free woodies magazine near the entrance. Inside the back cover of that, you will find 10-20% off coupons printed there for the various depts... ie 10% paint when you spend over €50 etc.

    hope that helps.

How do you print this so that the front and back of the coupons match up?

The Bubblegum page person replied like this to me:
"It may be an instore only or perhaps a mis-price Giovanna. Saw them in Tesco Clare Hall at that price", in case someone is interested.

This is not relating to coupons - but I came across these websites today and they are handy resources for keeping updated on supermarket offers -

This lists links to all the current supermarket special offers in one spot - http://www.thriftypages.ie/deals/irish-grocery-special-offers/

This other one is a subscription website (€12 for 12 months) which does all the supermarket price checks for you. http://www.smartshopper.ie/index.php

To quote their FAQ's page -

Once subscribed to SmartShopper.ie you have complete access for a 12-month period to the pricing and promotional information collected from Dunnes, Tesco, Supervalu, Superquinn, Aldi and Lidl stores in the Republic of Ireland, and promotional information from Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s in Northern Ireland. By charging less than €1 per month we can maintain the quality of our service.

I'd be interested to hear of anyone is a SmartShopper subscriber already and what they think of the service - is it worth the cost?

Used my Killeen voucher tonight for the first time no problem. Also used Vanish, Comfort, Johnsons baby wash. Shop came down from €36 to €28, so happy days.

Just paused an intense clipping session and these links look very appealing to me!
Thank you for posting this, if I subscribe I will let ya know!

I tried that smart shopper page, it's not great, they take a shopping basket of 250 items, but some of them are generic. Not a great comparison. There is a free one doing the rounds too, but I can't remember the domain. It featured on the consumer show.

There's a couple of free samples posted on the bubblegum.ie page. One just been posted & some more further down the page.

    Found it: http://www.fitthebill.ie is free

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 messy543

I am subscribed to the Smartshoppers but like iMax said it is not so great. They have a few products but not all. Anyways it was only 12 euros for 12 months so it's okay.

Those country crest baby spuds (1kg) bag are still on sale in tesco as posted earlier by bigwillie for 49c

The country crest 50c coupon is still up on pigsback.

    (got three bags today!) :D

And those Mikado choc biscuits are not on offer here... must just be clarehall. They are way overpriced IMHO.

Very expensive for 8 biscuits, taste nice, but wouldn't buy them again at this price.

I cant see any shop taking a UK sterling 50p coupon here.

Also, on the same product... there is a link for a free sample of super sticky notes in the freebies thread and unfortunately, even though they do send out free samples to Ireland, i have not seen mine yet and i sent off for it in March!
