The media has a commercial interest in getting Norris into the campaign. Without Norris, we're going to have a very dull campaign with a low turn out.

I really hope he doesn't win though; what an embarrassment, and would make it more difficult for us to criticise the church for their tolerance of child-molesters. Imagine President David Norris having to criticise the Vatican for how they deal with child abuse. They would rightly laugh at us.

I would imagine him being nominated by FF would by the kiss of death for him though. Anyone I know who wants to vote for him is very anti-FF. As he's considered the anti-establishment vote.

If you are homophobic, at least have the courage to say so, rather than hiding behind terms like 'low culture', 'vile Mystique' () and 'lower elements'.

Fortunately the bulk of the Irish population is rather more humane and has seen past these medieval attitudes.

Decency involves butting out if the "issue" is between 2 consenting adults and absolutely no-one else.

The only reason there's an objection to Norris is because of his views re underage sex with an adult.
