Garmin update problem

    Just wondering if anyone has come across this problem on a nuvi 255, I'm trying to update the maps but get the following message:
    message otherMapUpdateView.formats.list[0] is undefined

    lineNumber 1081

    name TypeError

    This happens regardless of what browser I use (I'm on a Mac) and occurs whether or not the GPS is hooked up by USB or not.

    While I'm at it, before I fork out the guts of €100 on updating the maps, is it true Garmin's current Irish maps don't include the new motorways and tunnels etc?

    If so, I'm thinking I may just lump for a new unit, possibly a TomTom, any thoughts?

    I need Europe and North America maps btw.
