    Woohoo. :(
A HEAT WAVE EXPECTED LATE THIS WEEK...

TEMPERATURES SIZZLING INTO THE MID 90S FRIDAY AFTERNOON COMBINED WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE LOW TO MID 70S... WILL GIVE HEAT INDICES FROM 100 TO 107 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST HEAT INDICES WILL BE WEST OF I-55 FROM 2 TO 6 PM. TEMPERATURES WILL RISE BACK INTO THE LOW TO MID 90S SATURDAY AFTERNOON WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE LOW TO MID 70S... GIVING HEAT INDICES FROM 98 TO 105 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST HEAT INDICES WILL BE FROM I-70 SOUTH. TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 90S SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE LOWER 70S... WILL GIVE HEAT INDICES FROM 95 TO 100 DEGREES.

THIS WILL BE THE FIRST MAJOR HEAT WAVE OF THE SUMMER SEASON IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS. AVOID BEING OUTDOORS FOR PROLONGED PERIODS IN THE MIDDAY AND AFTERNOON SUN. IF YOU MUST WORK OUTDOORS... WEAR LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING... DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS IN AN AIR CONDITIONED OR SHADED AREA TO ESCAPE THE HEAT. NEVER LEAVE PETS OR CHILDREN IN UNATTENDED VEHICLES.

    Not for me either.

Question: Is this part of the Government Sponsored Cover Up of the Global Warming Mashup created by Financialists for their Own Benefit?

I don't think Met.ie either do worthwhile forecasts or historical summaries.

My guess is that we've had one of the coldest Junes in a long long time.
Of course, to do our part of CO2 reduction we're going to have to put up tax on heating fuel and stop people burning fossil fuels. And all the time the biggest heat engine in our locality does what it pleases.
