Dull, cool and damp. Just 2.8mm of rain all day and none of the heavy showers a lot of the country are getting. Temp 13.8c

Clouds are low, and are as grey as battle ships. Nothing major though rain wise.

Raining at a steady clip considering the broken grey clouds..much darker looking to the east ..if the temp was 0 this stuff would be grapuel or soft hail..
Looking at wind direction on the latest met reports if a SE or NE was deemed E we would have the four major cardinal directions represented in one hour..is that unusual ?
    Funny ol weather for June!

yeah we had thunder and lightening and quite a bit today, especially around 4.30 this evening, not much rain with that 1 but thunder and lightening was very impressive.

What started out as light rain here in Galway City a few hours ago is now "down for the day" type heavy rain. Its not showing signs of clearing much from the West yet on Met Eireann's radar,a huge chunk of the country now covered in it on the radar.

Simply dreadful in Cork - cold and wet. What are the tourists doing on a day like to today?

We're certainly paying for all the dry weather earlier in the year ...
