while i agree on the shenannigans end, a planning reference number is not assigned to a planning application until it is received and validated at the City Council. The site notice has to be up prior to the application beng lodged so hence a reference number can not be displayed on the site notice.

anyway, all pointless as its a joke :D

While I agree that it may well be BS. The site notice will not contain an application number for checking in city hall. The plan reference number assigned to an application happens in the civic offices after the application is lodged and therefore not required to be written on the site notice.

Also, the site notice does not comply with any legislation of the erection of public notices in relation to development.

Is there an 3 year long echo in here? :P

That's a horrible little Tesco Express, hopefully this one will be nearer a 'real' supermarket size.

Well the size of the site wouldn't give you great hope. Can't understand how planning was given for this - how will deliveries be made without snarling up the whole road? It's bad enough with people blocking the road crossing from the western side rat-run (Bishop Street), this will just make it worse.

Its better than leaving the site derelict though.

Snarling up the road and causing obstructions doesnt seem to matter diagonally opposite at the mensa types running Megabikes. They have been leaving motorbikes on the corner actually ON the road for a long time and incredibly the gardai yet again dont seem to notice this illegality.
