Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ethernet or Firewire cable will set up a network between the two.

A plain ethernet cable will work if they are both(maybe just 1 ?) recent enough to support it, otherwise a cross-over cable, or 2 cables and a router. Share a folder on one, map network drive on the other. You'll prob need to set static IP addresses on both if you don't use the router option. Cables are faster than wifi.

Alri guys, jus wanted to know is there anyway to connect a laptop to a computer to do a file transfer wihout having to use an external hard drive, the amount of stuff i have would take days and need to d it fairly quick???

If you can get your hands on an ethernet X over cable connect the PC's.

Then use Microsoft Network Setup Wizard to configure the connection.
