Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I have a new LG Home Entertainment unit that has a Lan socket for Home Network connection.Its too far away from Router for cable.I tried Homplugs-drove me mad for days trying to get them working-they won't.No idea why.

    Plan B is a wireless connection with this Netgear Adapter...but will it work.I have good wireless signal around the house-laptops connect no problem
    Appreciate any help on this...trying to avois another return like the Homeplugs.

    Buy a box of cat5 cable and cable it. A cat5 cable does gigabit (1000mbit), wireless "g" barely does 30mbit and is susceptible to interference from your neighbours wireless and other devices. If not now, you'll definitely need cat5 to every tv in the house in future. Why not do it right from the start?

    Or get Cat6 causes it more shielded and better over distances.

    Far too difficult to crimp for the ordinary house, plus shielded only works if every single device gets earthed and you use the metal rj45s.
