Can someone explain to me how they can price a job labour and materials without ever seeing the job?

What if there is furniture in the house?
What if there are 30 spot lights on every ceiling?
What if there is flooring down?
What if there is mapping on the walls?

My guesstimate was for ceiling and walls. As OP asked. You threw in the woodwork for free.

Of course it could be cheaper or more expensive depending on condition of walls, prep, stains etc etc.
