Went to the talk on it at the Trinity open day and I have to say she made the course sound amazing and I think its an extremely interesting field of work! Tough going but seems worth it at the same time.
Yeah it seemed you have to be very together emotionally for it but at the same time it sounded very rewarding as a career!

Also there seems to be a load of people who speak Spanish on here, or else they all just happen to be on Boards! In Cork it's quite rare that a schoool does Spanish it's almost exclusively French and to a lesser extent German.

Moi?

Nothing, can convince me work last midnight unless it's something that would affect my Leaving directly like project, apart from that I just give up, head to bed and face the consequences in the morning!

I agree in Cork Spanish is in the minority, I know only one school in my area that offers it!

I wanted to do Spanish but no school around me or any school I know of actually does it as a subject (even for JC)..

Christmas exams just finished today. They went ok, studied pretty much from 5-10:30 straight for the past 3 days, dying for a bit of rest! Not looking to my results in some subjects.. For example, i do OL maths, and i'm usually good at it (getting 70's/80's). I had the exam today, and it actually went horrible. My teacher told us the supposedly questions that will be coming up (like the chapters e.g Geometry, Trig etc), and what does he do, he puts some questions on the test from a chapter he told us we didn't need to study. o_o
It's so annoying, I think I do so bad I may fail.. I know Christmas tests mean nothing anyways, but it's so annoying thinking that I should have done way better than that... Ah, they're over with now anyways!

Could you enlighten me to why you used the subjunctive in the above places? :P
I'm not all the sure about the subjunctive..

Que onda, Guero? Is about the measure of my Spanish.

Punching a boxing bags bare knuckle the day before the beginning of my Christmas tests is one of my less inspired ideas. My poor English teacher, marking the 5-year-old-esq handwriting of my Hopkins essay I did today.

Me odio Espanol y me encanta Irlandesa!

dominar = to dominate/to be fluent in/have mastery of.

Ich mochte ein Geschichte Lehrer werden. I always lie in those anyway. We've got some handy phrases learned and try to throw them in as often as possible.

I'd be careful with the arts. We had a native german speaker to do the a.f with us and she mixed up arts with arzt(doctor), hence the sentence did not sound right.

In my school for example there's 3 classes of spanish, and only one for german and french. People do spanish cos it's supposed to be really handy. That's Wexford btw.

Just going to reply in English. :p Oral went really, really well. I got asked the basic questions, myself, family, mi casa, mi pueblo, mi instituto, and then some questions about the school show I was in, what are the teachers like, uniform, social problems in my area, etc. I GOT ROLEPLAY 5, really wanted 1/2/3. :p I got 27/30 for that though.

Going by a quick glance of the sheet I THINK I got 22/25%. I would be delighted with that seeing as it's only for my mock.
