Break up Songs

Ok so my friend is going through a break up and I want to make a break up compilation to help her. I was thinking of starting off with a few sad, wallowy, self-misery songs (E.g. Hurt by Johnny Cash, Stay With Me by Lorraine Ellison, I Just Died In Your Arms by Cutting Crew) and then leading into more angry hate songs (E.g. I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace, Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac)and finally to get over it upbeat songs (E.g. I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor).

Any other ideas/suggestions? She's not really into pop or anything. More blues really but I figure if the songs are good enough it doesn't matter what genre they're in.

Last goodbye by jeff buckley is the first song that comes to mind when i think of break ups.

Love all the suggestions, a lot of them were a bit too heart breaking, I don't want her jumping off a cliff before she gets to the end of the CD. The happy positive songs were a bit tough to think of. I think people prefer misery in their music.

The sentiment seems to be that her bf was trying to break her down by splitting up with her. Does that ever happen? They usually don't give a sh*te about you when they leave! That's why they go!

I'd go with something non-angry and soothing....something from Mazzy Star is always good.

Also, any songs to inspire her to take a new look on life are great - something like "I Can See Clearly Now", or "Prayer For The Dying" (by Seal) are very life-affirming.
