Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Morning

My current setup is an LCD tv with a SKY HD box (with Sky sub). I also have a second cable to my sky dish which is unused but which I previously used with an old second sky box and uk FTA card (back when c4 was not on sky)

With Saorview I find my tv LG32F66 is not compatible?

My question to you guys is I suppose whats the best Saorview box to get and is there a box that also does UK FTA too? Or is there somethign I could connect to unused cable to sky dish for more chans?

    Hope this makes sense?

There are several Saorview certified set-top boxes (for receiving Ireland's free digital television service) on the market with more to come soon. Plenty of discussion about the pros and cons of these on the Terrestrial Forum.

Currently there is no Saorview certified combination STB capable of receiving all Saorview channels/services and UK FTA channels. The Triax ST-HD537 combination (Saorview by UHF aerial connection and UK FTA channels by satellite connection) STB came close but early adopters have found it to be quite buggy and though anticipated, has not yet been Saorview certified. Potential buyers (of the Triax combi) are wisely waiting for a 'newer' - hopefully Saorview certified - version expected in autumn.

If you're prepared to wait longer an all satellite option will appear on the market, perhaps in the form of a Saorsat certified combination STB. Sticky here for discussion on Saorsat service launch progress and kit required to receive it. More Saorsat info here.

Both these (Saorview or Saorsat + UK FTA) 'combi' STB options will be more expensive than that suggested by John mac above and are obviously not available today.
