Suppose you owe someone 50 euro and they claim you owe them 100 euro. You pay 50 by AIB laser. Can they use your number/details to take the other 50?

If it's a shop, then yes they could put through your details for the full amount in the first place or re do it again with another amount. You can then dispute the 2nd one but best to avoid it if you can.
