Hi guys, I've misplaced the booklet which we got from our vet with our dogs records from check ups and vaccine stickers in it. He is booked in for his annual vaccine tomorrow but after searching the house I can't find the book anywhere. just wondering is this booklet a necessity when going for vaccines and check ups? Will the vet still have their own set of records?

Yes the vet will still have the records and will give you a new booklet if you ask.

Your vet will give you a new booklet, starting from whenever you get the next vaccine (ie. tomorrow). They will have records of when the dog is due vaccinations but will not put this on the new booklet - this is for your own records. If you are worried about kennels, once you have a record of the dogs last vaccination it's ok. The complete booklet is handy, but not necessary, for your pets vaccinations and check ups.

They can give a booklet with all the previous vaccinations, if they've done them, it won't be with the stickers from the vaccination bottles, but they can hand write in those details.

A lot of kennels wouldn't accept a book with just one booster sticker/signature in it, as that doesn't really prove that the dog is covered. If your booklet gets full and you have to start another one, usually the vet practice will staple the old booklet to it, so that you have the continuity, and the kennels should ask to see that.

All sorted. Back dated with all previous visits etc. in it. Thanks for the help.
