Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi folks, im new to this site so please forgive me for any mistakes. Im wandering do any of you know of any contractors in East Cork area that may be looking for a driver for the summer work, silage, baling etc?

Its been a few years since I was behind the wheel of a tractor (not since I was a kid growing up on friends farms) but im sure I could pick it all up again in a few hours!

I was sitting out the front earlier sunning myself and the local farm were drawing in their silage and everytime one the tractors and trailers passed I was just mad to go back driving tractors for the summer.
Any help lads will be greatly appreciated thanks.

    Hi BigAlShep

Unfortunately you are probably too late to get a drive for the summer:(
All the lads would have had their drives booked with a while ;)
Maybe if you know any of the lads already driving to stick in your name in
case a contractor is under pressure for a couple of days that may require an extra driver

Have you ran with a silage crew in the past?, try a few tillage boys should have work last week of july-on in your part of the world... As long as you can do the basics most lads dnt care if your the best operator about, just that ya take care of machinery and one the roads etc tbh..

Thanks for the advice lads. I have never ran with a silage crew before but im hoping to head to Oz in September this year and wouldnt mind driving tractors over there for a few months so was kind of hoping to get some experience over here before I head out just to refresh the memory and get up to date with new tractors as I would have only driven old ones previously MF 135, Ford 7000, IH 956, Ford 6610 to name but a few. I would nearly work for free for a week just to get the experience behind me for Oz!!!
