    lads no matter where you are on the day or what part of the country, local, country, in the hills or at home if you have a radio switch it on the more the better just a bit of fun also there will be a few stations from england and wales also in the mountains and along the coast.

    Frequency: 446.09375 MHz CTCSS 88.5 Hz [Not all scanners will have CTCSS just leave it on 446.09375 and it should pick up anuway].

    there was various contacts the longest that i know of as today was Innishannon and Bandon 65klm.
    again other one's logged was 25 klm, 15klm, 30klm, and 7,10, klms

    65km on 500mW using crappy built-in antennas is pretty damn impressive!

    Shame that the PMR446 regs don't allow for base station radios with a few watts and proper antennas (like the old 934MHz stuff in the UK).

    worked into lurgan co.armagh from roslea co.fermangh site of gb3cp, friend using a cheap binetone 150 worked into co.antrim to another guy on a high site using a walkie talkie, never got location but its a fair distance to anywere in co.antrim using 500mw from one of these http://csimg.leguide.com/process_image.php?req=GB/00000014121281629/T/340x340/C/FFFFFF/url/binatone-latitude-150-tw.jpg :D
