Eh... if it's in the insolvency journal I'd think it's pretty truthful...

Wow, that's one of the consistently busiest and (relatively) most pleasant places for a drink in the city; if they can't turn a profit, who can?

That's what I was thinking. Although it was a little empty the night of the Heino final.

Yeah, liquidator was appointed on the 18th of May. It's likely that the pub will stay open under new ownership IMO.

The current owners, I believe, owe a significant amount of money to some banks.

    Hopefully it's open though.

Please come down and have a pint and see!

It depends on whether someone buys it. Liquidation is serious.

Yeah, it is open but for how much longer?

Was it the pub not making a profit that let to its demise, or the owners' failure in other projects?

    Probably 11 on a Tuesday.

That's horrible news. Do you think all the football supporters that went there will now turn up in other pubs in the area seeking a fix of televisual "banter"?

They turned away 50-60 punters on the night of the Superbowl because it was too packed.

It'd be shame to see it go!

You all seem to be missing the point that just because the pub does good business doesn't necessarily mean the company that owns it is in good financial shape. It cannot be, liquidation is a very severe action to take.

The Living Room do pitchers, and food I think.
Whether it's good or not is a different story!

Also think The Bernard Shaw do pitchers and the pizzas there are deadly!
