Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If someone went to an internet cafe and connected to their office through a vpn, could a keylogger or other spying technology capture the data? If there was a screen capture recording video would it not capture the data?

Alos a doctor told me he has a private computer connection to a hospital so blood results can be retrieved securely. Is than a vpn ?

    Thanks

A keylogger, kinda. It would only capture data that was typed though. Usually no network data.

It's probably not a VPN. It's probably the HSE HealthLinks system. It's protected by SSL certificates.

but would it not have to be typed to get to the network? Or do you mean it cannot see the company side? and a capture doing screen capture would get all on the bcafe pc side?

Ya, someone would have to type some details obviously. Assumedly a web based login if your gonna be using a café connection. THen yes, a keylogger would get the URL, the username and the password!

Nope. It's not a tunnel of any sort. It's just a straight forward encrypted data transfer. ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security )

SSL certs are not my forté. All I know of the Healthlink connection is that in order to connect, you must request certificates from them. The untrusted warning may be due to an unrecognized root CA?
