Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vacuum Tank trouble

Having trouble with the tanker, keeps overheating since the day we got it, had 1 for 10 years before that never any trouble.(abbey brand) They put in extra gaskets so veins wouldnt be touching but that made no difference. They told me to put in tractor engine oil instead of vacuum oil but that made no difference either. We only have our own work to do so can stop and let it cool off. Have pulled oil and diesel thru pump to clean it out. Where do i go from here? Thanks

are the vanes free, can you hear then drop as you turn the pump slowly by hand? Can you turn the pump by hand when the tank is empty?

Ours did the same. We replaced the vanes, and put in a few more gaskets, and it solved it.

Vanes are cheap, maybe €70. Easy enough to do.

I would put in more paper gaskets first though. It is obviously heating because the cylinder into which the vanes slot has moved out maginally. They seem to do that for no good reason.
