Ph.D Stipend and Tax question

Hey, If someone does a Ph.D which offers an annual stipend of 16000Euro, how much (if any) tax will they have to pay on it? Any info on this would be very appreciated as I can't find anything on it. Thanks.

Stipends for research students are usually exempt from tax.
