So I'm doing a Foley project and I'm doing the Distance Contest between the Minions at the end of Despicable Me. There was a really good quality clip on Youtube and silly me, I didn't download it. Now it has vanished from youtube and I can't find it!

I have the DVD and am ripping it onto my laptop.

What I want to do now is to take that particular 3 minute scene so I can import it into logic.

So is there any software for Mac out there that will allow me to do this?

    I appreciate yer help.

Not a big mac user myself, mainly use windows to edit.

But I'd say iMovie should do the trick for you; and as far as I'm aware, it should already be on your mac?

use mpegstreamclip. www.squared5.com. you can set a mark in and mark out point for the dvd then rip it.

Well, iFunia DVD ripper for Mac can do this work, in the "edit" button, you can take that particular 3 minute scene by trim the part of DVD files, and set the start point and end point is OK.
It has a trial version, you can google it and have a try before purchase.

Try each of those in order.

If you can get on a PC, I've had great success with DVDx.

Hey all, thank you very much for your suggestions.

A user called spurious sent me a PM and she sorted it out for me and cut it up for me perfectly. Now I'm good to go!

    Thanks again. :)
