Firing squads woulda been cheaper. We coulda sold tickets or made it pay per view on Sky and made a few quid instead of burning a truck load of it on a report that achieves nothing.

Have just been reading on politics.ie that it won't be published until after the summer.
    Balls to that.

It was due out for June. I was hoping if it was released within the next week or so that perhaps, along with the CC abuse it would be boiling point for the nation to get up, protest and fight for our rights, our future, a fairer society, etc.

There has been so much abuse thrown upon this nation by the church and FF, it really is time for reform in many areas and sectors. And I believe the only way is with protests demanding change that this nation so badly needs.

I am looking forward to reading it.
With a whole chapter devoted to Bertie Ahern, it will leave his reputation in tatters.
Its time to name and shame the crooks who broke our country.

Is it true that Bertie didn't declare all of his income? Therefore evading tax.

This report is coming out at a time when it's reported that some pensioners didn't declare all of their income, which they will have now pay back. If Bertie gets off scott free it highlights something that is majorly wrong in this country. The law only applies to the little people of Ireland but those in power can abuse whatever system for their owns gains and they are not questionable to anyone.

It will be a turning point for Ireland. Or it should be.

After such a delay I'll believe it when I see it.

Mehole Martin was saying last week alright that they were putting plans in place to protect the party from any damage.

    http://www.independent.ie/national-news/fianna-fail-braced-for-criticism-over-anticipated-mahon-findings-on-ahern-2982608.html
FIANNA Fail is bracing itself for the fallout from the Mahon Tribunal report, with the party drawing up a strategy to respond to its findings, including potentially adverse claims against its former leader.

The tribunal's findings on Bertie Ahern's financial affairs are keenly anticipated and he faces possible expulsion from the party if the tribunal finds against him.

    Whoop-de-fckin' do!
He MIGHT be thrown out of the party! Bit late bloody now!
He must be quaking his his boots! (NOT!)

(But shush... don't tell anyone that he will still get to keep all his still ongoing perks, be they big or small, his €2400 weekly pension, etc...

...And he will still get a state funeral paid by the public at his death!

If FG and Labour plan it right, it will be out just in time for their holiday break - that way, it will give all parties to define their positions and statements, hope some of the publicity will have diluted and thus take the pressure off them to do be larger seen at doing something with the results of the report!

Expect the usual rush bluster of statements made for a week or two.
Expect FF to distance themselves form matters of the past and from individuals,
Expect nothing more of any substance to be done within months!

Irish politics - its gotten so predictable sometimes.

    What a load of sh1te

This report was delayed by years. It was due out then for summer 2011. Delayed until after summer. Then Oct. Nov.

Was due out this week and put off again until later next month * cough * never.

And it cost 97 million. Of taxpayers money. What an absolute waste of taxpayers money to protect one of the biggest **** that took the economy down that are now rewarded with a massive pension instead of his criminal behaviour being sent to the relative authorities. This tribunal is doing nothing but protecting this pr1ck while filling the pockets of his soloicitor mates.

The taxman got onto the pensioners but no way will he get onto the maggot: I won it on the horses.

What is European law about discrimination, if any?

Can we take this obvious abuse to European court of justice?

Anyways: tribunal report pushed back again.

And his exact quote in words:-

“You have to have a merciless view on this and I think people know my view for
twenty years and it would give me the greatest pleasure watching non-compliant Tax payers go to jail. That’s the kind of person I am”

    you old toad Bertie....

For fcuk sake all christ all fcuking mighty

This sh1t has been ready for release since 2007 and they are still not releasing it.

It is estimated that SW fraud costs this state 300 million. This tribunal so far has costed 97 million. One third of of the sw fraud yet people will get their knickers in a twist over their neighbour on the dole with new shoes which might indicate fraud in their eyes but are happy to let this farce and abuse of the tribunals go on.

I want this released. No more fcuking bullsh1t. Is there anyone, anywhere, or an establishment on an EU level I can email to for the release of this? These fcukers in power in our country has to be pushed.
