Are you sure it's psychiatry that has given them a bad name? I would say it is the fact that they are willing to say and do anything to their patients to protect the child-abusing, pregnant teen abusing, mentally ill abusing, moneygrubbing religious orders who sign their pay cheques.

I have never met a psychiatrist in my life with a shred of either personal or professional integrity. They are utterly valueless lying gutless pieces of human garbage. Mental hospitals are the last places where filth like this can get away with whatever they want without being questioned.

Of course, ask one of them if they'd like to sit in a room with a video camera running and defend their science, diagnoses, behaviour or lies and you'll soon find out exactly how gutless these people are.

Don't know how many open and closed cases I've contributed to against people with child porn and inappropriate material involving minors only for some lawyer to tweak whatever country's system and send the offender of so re-offend.

I had the surreally horrible displeasure of working alongside lawyers in a previous job. I went in making jokes about how awful they were, and soon learned its all true. It's like they're not quite people - they're just lawyers. And remember, they were our lawyers, our colleagues, and they weren't tasked with anything particularly charged or emotional. Even just chit chatting at the desk or mooching around in the canteen, they were awful.

My question is - are awful people drawn to the job, or does the job make them awful?

    Correct. but,
Why did you think they were there to help you ?:confused::confused:

Let's see, They do no cash productive work in the company, yet the company hires and pays them, I wonder why :D:rolleyes:

In my personal experience (as part of my job) the worst person I have ever encountered would be one particular Revenue Sheriff. He called out to a clients house in an estate and when no-one was there he blocked the enterance to the estate and rang and told the client he was staying put until the client came out and paid the Sheriff's fee. Yes thats right...he didn't give a flying fcuk about the monies due to Revenue, he just wanted his own fee paid and he'd go then. I've had to deal with him a few times and he is one slimey, sneaky horrible person.

Clampers are just doing their job - don't park illegally? But nah, much easier to blame someone else. The professions I have a problem with are those who are blatantly unethical to make a buck or who include a high proportion of bullies. That doesn't apply to nurses, plenty of whom are lovely.

Don't forget that many people's pensions were wiped out in 2008 regardless of where the money was invested. Such is the nature of the markets, but you can be guaranteed that these guys won't lose out.

Hmm... When I was administrating (doing the accounts) for hedge funds during the crash, a lot of funds I dealt with went bust and the people running them lost everything. People I talked to everyday losing their jobs all the way to the top. Then a lot of the administration companies were laying off staff aswell.

My opinion on the industry has changed though.. I used to want to be a hedge fund manager or whatever but now I really do think it's just wrong.

Many of the staff in shops and banks especially in BOI in Dublin
Lawyers and Solicitors - it's hard to find an honest one
Many Politicians - they pretend to be in politics to help people and society they don't live in the real world.
Landlords - i don't know how they can sleep at night while they are renting sub standard accommodation to people who are struggling to pay their high rent in a low quality standard of living.
Many nurses - a good few of them of them are great but many of them are arrogant and gossipy and always complaining they get paid for their training! they should get over themselves and get on with it. What other work gets paid to train? do social carers/workers get paid for training? no
Many of the people who work testing people for the driving test - I think they enjoy telling people they have failed.
Many doctors especially g.p s dishonestly charging high prices, making a living out of sick and injured people, giving them medication that is not helping and not solving the problem just to keep them on medication for the health care industry to keep making a profit
A good few of the Presenters on Irish daytime/morning TV - they don't live in the real world always talking about babies, children, weddings and mortgages and holidays. they make people sound really boring and sickening.
Most of the presenters on Dublin radio stations - they are predictive, boring and all the same, talking the same way, saying the same things etc zzzz
Clampers - many of them seek out foreign and non Dublin reg vehicles - if they are clampers they should do their job honestly.
The person who made sub standard cycling lane in Dublin, they are not at the basic standard you see in most European countries - it's not rocket science to build a cycling lane so why didn't they not build one right.
People working in abattoirs - especially the halal ones cutting the heads of living animals is cruel and evil.

A sickener - and maybe they should have given you a bit more grace than 20 minutes (if that's REALLY all it was ;)) but ultimately your fault - you parked illegally and it was avoidable.

    Don't park illegally then.
My only problem with the clampers is that they don't clamp more people around where I live. Road is constantly obstructed on friday and saturday nights with people illegally parked and cops nor clampers just ignore it:mad:

I'm someone who'd defend teachers - awful job. And the holidays are moreso for the pupils, but I do think they're too long for doing nothing. In my opinion, it should be mandatory for teachers to get involved with summer schools, leg-up programmes, courses etc, rather than this kinda stuff just being something they only have to volunteer for.

Private medicine, and especially the outsourcing of various aspects of the NHS to private companies to save a few bucks.
Big Pharma, if drug R&D is so expensive, why spend twice as much on marketing?
Homeopathy, making money of people's ignorance.

People who work in recruitment agencies.

You know why there's no degree or diploma in recruitment agency work ?

Because all they have to do is match a word on a persons cv with a word in the job description and they are set !!

They would have creamed it in the boom years but thankfully a lot of them are unemployed now or are out handing out leaflets at home and abroad.

The way they treated people during the boom years was outrageous.

Its great to be settled in a secure role now for years and get the odd call and daily email from them and be thankful I don't have to associate with them.

    Parasitic scum !!!!! :)
