So quick question ladies, Any recommendations on tough nail polish that will last in work? Now maybe I'm asking for miracles but is there any hard wearing nail polish out there?
(P.S Found Sally Hanson's Xtreme Wear polish in Dealz today, just a heads up!)

NaNaNa1, are you using a base coat and top coat? That will make any nail polish last a bit longer. Essie is very long lasting.

I usually just use two layers and then a top coat but I'll try a base coat too! Thanks

Actually I really need to start using a base coat and top coat. I sometimes use a top coat but not always.

Nanana1 I got one of those polishes in Dealz last week. It's called Emerald City and it's gorgeous! Dealz is fab. The one near me also has Collection 2000 polishes in it.

I bought 3 new polishes today:
Essence Colour & Go 137 Wanna Be Your Sunshine - it's a bright yellow with a bit of shimmer in it.
Rimmel glitter top coat 002 Disco Gold
Collection 2000 Hot Looks no. 65 Scorched - it's like a rusty orange colour.

I think I'll try the Collection 2000 one tomorrow. I'm also going to use the yellow to attempt the Despicable Me minion nails at some stage.

I did these yesterday. They didn't quite turn out how I wanted so I am contemplating taking it off today and putting something else on. So many polishes!!!.

Bought this a few weeks ago and I love it. The colour is fab on. It actually works really well with my pale skin. It's quite durable too. Two coats and no streaks.

I have a lovely orange Rimmel one that I think I might put on during the week. I still have the rusty colour on - see pic above.

Got a few polishes last week. Found 2 OPI shatters in Dealz in Limerick Shatter the Scales and Super Bass Shatter. Got MUA polish in Bold Blue, NYC in Party Time Blue and the yellow and peach colour from the Catrice Candy Shock (had the other two already). Also got a Konad Double stamper for half price and 2 Konad plates for €2!

Got a file & paint in Fifth Ave today. My nails and hands are in bits so I wanted them to look pretty. Didn't go for the Shellac as I'm going to the Brow Artist in two weeks so that's my beauty budget done for August!

Just in case it's of interest to any of you ladies -

The chemist in Donaghmede Shopping Centre (The Donaghmede Pharmacy, ground floor, in near the back, across from the Meteor shop) is selling a big box of OPI nail polishes off for around 8 euro each.

I have a couple of pics to throw up1

1. Ciate Chalkboard Nails kit. I love these but I find that the polish can be streaky when put over a base coat and it seems to chip pretty easily. I also didn't find that the whole "wipe clean" idea worked very well.



2. Caviar Manicure. I used a dark teal Leighton Denny as the base colour and MUA Nail Constellation beads in Libra on top.


3. Geometric Nails in Barry M black and NYC white with striping tape bought in New Look.

My friend got me a mini set of Essie's Holiday collection and I just put on Sunday Funday (love the name!)
It's a lovely pinky coral with really subtle glitter

New Look of all places! I think the brand is npw and they're €4 for a pack of 5. I can't get a pic of it atm but the packaging is black with coloured lines and an image of a white nail with tapes on it

Would never even have occurred to me to look in new look for that kind of thing. Thanks a mill, will put it on the list

Anyone know of anywhere else I could get that tape? I have no New Look near me..

Just having a look in the new Argos book and they have a couple of nice nail art kits in case anyone is interested
