Just got a flyer in the door there for a new takeaway called superbites, its on bridge street, anyone know how long this has been open?
Has anyone tried it yet? Says on the flyer there a Authentic Kebab house and the Kebabs are 2 Eur cheaper than Chargoal grill:)

Their veggie kebab is really wierd but surprisingly nice. They mash up a veggie burger pattie and stuff it in nan bread with the salad and sauces. Its very filling.
Their chips are a bit meh though.

The onion rings are really good though.

They're the small crunchy ones! 8 for €2.50

Ate 16 of them last night on the way home.

    Noms!

I find it so bizarre that new fast-food joints get threads on this board.

Why is it so bizarre? Just wondering.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,484 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

And its now an established fast food joint :-P

Are the onion rings homemade? If so you would think they would have proper chips as well.

Got delivery from here via just-eat the last day as it was too late for FourStar. Most disappointed. The burger was grand, but the pizza and chips were woeful.

While it's hardly something to base an entire order around, their onion rings are incredibly good.

I don't know. All i know is that they're phenomenal.

The onion rings are phenomenal indeed.
Had myself a little meal from them there late wednesday night. Food was hot, and the chicken fillet burger was monstrous and tender.
Chips were done to perfection too.

Got to say, on the onion rings and chips front, they havn't disappointed me yet.

The chips are crap. But ARE THEY REAL ONION RINGS???

    Somebody please tell me :-o

Sandeman, how can you eat the chips and onion rings from take aways if you're a veg head?

Wouldn't they be in the same frier as the meats

They're small-ish, crunchy ones. They're as real as you need them to be!

Are they f**k homemade, they are out of a supermarket looking bag from their freezer, they are mank, tasteless, no onion flavour whatsoever. Some people in this thread could really do with expanding their palate if this is what they describe as good and whatever other hyperbole they added.

Jaysus, who shat in your cereal? It's a small little chipper, not Restaurant De La Swank. I personally like the smaller crunchy onion rings. If you're after the big, massive, greasier ones where the onion comes out of the batter after the first bite then the like of Vinnies would be more what you'd be after.

Price on the onion rings in Super Bites cannot be faulted though. I think they're fúcking delicious. Exactly what I crave after a night out.

Everyone has their opinion, mine is they are mank, yours is they're delicious, i question how anyone would think they are, simple as. I only tried them because of the talk on here about them and i was laughing when i saw him pour them from a packet. If i wanted bog standard frozen onion rings id buy a bag for less than 2.50 in the shop. I'll stick to making my own.

Regardless of what the menu says, ask whether the pork sausages are actually pork and NOT beef and whether any other pork ingredients in pizzas etc are not SOYA substitute.
My brother-in-law (a reliable source) told me last night that he went into a Superbites last nite (can't tell you where, otherwise the person would be fired, and we don't want that) he asked for a trackers breakfast roll. The person behind the counter asked him if he really wanted it, and when he asked why, he was told that Superbite was bought over and that there was no pork products being sold in Superbites. The pork sausages were actually beef sausages, there was no ham in the pizzas and that there was also Soya substitute for pork in other products.
Make your own mind up, be we for sure won't be buying their fast food again.

Damn Jew-Muslim conspiracy. But yeah, if it is true, then they should advertise it.
Can someone else corroborate this story? Until then I'll just think it's all made up.

Just got two kebabs from there and they were utterly dreadful.

Firstly, the "Special Kebab" which was supposed to be donner & chicken was actually just donner, so they've got my order wrong and overcharged me for a donner kebab there.

The "salad" consisted solely of lettuce. Kebabs are supposed to come with cabbage and tomatoes as well.

The "chilli sauce" was not chilli sauce, rather some disgusting Chinese sweet and sour bollocks. I wanted chilli sauce because it is supposed to be spicy.

Charcoal Grill seem to be the only place able to do a good kebab. Even that specialised kebab place on Eglinton St have morons working there who f*** a load of mayonnaise (disgusting) over your kebab before asking you.

I think the last decent kebab I had was from that kebab place on Domnick street years ago.
