I have €100 worth since around oct 08 won €50 in 2016 with the PB does revenue or welfare have to know about them if you have a substantial amount of them when it comes to retiring.

I see this week the €50,000 has gone to Portugal, first time I've seen an overseas winner of the top prize.

I track the prize bonds for my mother’s estate. She had about €8500 in there.
I don’t think the online tracker goes beyond 2-3 years, but for comparison purposes:
2016 - €50
2017 - €50
2018 - 2 x €50

We’re in the process of executing her will, and we’ve all decided to cash them out.
I probably have €150 worth of bonds of my own, going back to childhood. I certainly have never won anything with them, so I think I may as well cash those out too while I’m at it.

Oh for sure! Anyone would want to see *some* annual return on their money. It’s dreadful. I remember Mum could count on a couple of hundred per year before they slashed the prize money.
I’ll probably bung my bonds against my PRSA.
