But I think rather than extraordinary luck they just prefer first prize ;)

Imagine if they'd only bought the minimum amount of Prize Bonds; 4 units for €25... that would be some return!

I'm looking to invest 50K into prize bonds. Can I make this purchase online or will I need to go to the post office?

  • Registered Users Posts: 716 ✭✭✭sue97

Post office and they are quite strict on what documents they accept

I'll drop by on Tuesday and grab the form. What sort of docs would I need?

Are you sure? The rate of return is random, if not utterly ****e.

and yet another annoying aspect of that poxy new website ... I was wondering why I hadn't received any acknowledgement (from mother of new baby) of prizebonds I ordered online as a gift - I discovered yesterday when I asked outright had they received them that the NTMA in their 'wisdom' no longer sends the accompanying 'Congratulations/Happy Birthday' type message and name of donor with the gift prizebond.

And as a follow-on, if the recipient received two prizebonds and subsequently won the million one one of them, he/she wouldn't know who to share the champagne with!!!

Well after a drought of nearly 11 months (last win 22nd September 2017) €50 euro today on my €30k batch:)
€10k batch purchased June 2017 hasn't won anything yet, a total of €60,000, 10k batch 20k batch and 30k batch, my first win in 2018,
pbwinner you may follow next week as I see you've had zero wins in 2018, so far.
Can't get use to the new site, how do you look up your winning history......

Back in the fray.... 6x 5k put in over the last 3 weeks. My besties ( the revenue commissioners) sorted for November. Under no expectations,,,but even 1 little win would be sweet.
    My Friday fix back on....

Yeah the site sucks so bad now! :o

    Try https://www.statesavings.ie/prize-bonds/tracker#findwinners after logging in.
Then you can change the date range to return all your winning history.

The people that designed it obviously aren't using it to check their numbers every Friday afternoon!

how long dose it take to recive money in your bank account from a win ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,023 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

I'm on a bit of a roll. Another €50 today, which makes 7 in the last 20 draws. Before that I went 26 draws with no win.

My winner today was from a reinvestment of 2 x €75 wins in the last week of December 2012.

Well I got exactly what I expected. Diddly squat. I guess I need to get accustomed to the Sorry message.
