I believe some insurance company (123 maybe) gives out prize bonds to customers when they renew.

you only have it while you are their customer so they don't purchase that many each month.

€50 win on Friday, PB bought August 2007, first win since July.

Winnings to date (no winning records kept pre 2005) €875 on €7,150 worth of PB's bought monthly over a 14 year period.

    Winnings 2011 €75
    Winnings 2012 €150
    Winnings 2013 to date €200

Getting cuter year by year obviously!
To keep up the proper sequence I hope the €200 will be €300 before 2013 ends. Good Luck and keep the "doubling stuff" extant. :)

    Hadn't thought of that, nice sequence, €75, €150, €300? ........
    I like it

  • Registered Users Posts: 289 ✭✭FoolsGold1

Oh of course you like it, but do remember to ignore the sequence should you turn up a thousand or the cool million, either being a helluva lot better than the ould €300! You'll be forgiven for shattering the sequence, but, I'd better cop myself on, as you'll readily notice now that only a "Fool" would be so silly as to try to lecture a "Cute Hoor" (who probably could teach us all). LOL. Good Luck anyway!

    €7,475 worth of PB's accumulated since 2002

    Winnings 2011 €150
    Winnings 2012 €75
    Winnings 2013 to date €0

I see a pattern emerging here!

you only have it while you are their customer so they don't purchase that many each month.
Well if they have a couple thousand customers renewing, that woudl add up. And I suppose the person keeps the bonds whether or not they renew?

no if they have 100000 customers last year and the same this year then no new purchases take place. They only loan you the bond for the year.

If my figures are correct it would seem the PB fund is now about 1,872,228,571 Euro as of the end of Oct 13,
Which means at the moment there are about 299,556,571 bonds.

During Oct I reckon the PB fund grew by 20,800,000 Euro,
Which means there will be an extra 3,328,000 bonds in each draw during Nov compared to Oct.

I would estimate that on average there was a net growth in the PB fund of 945,454 Euro for each working day during Oct.
An increase of 68,883 Euro per day over September
