When you want to actually cash these out how does it work? On their website it just says to write to them, but doesnt actually say whether they pay out by cheque, bank transfer etc.

& for the folks with large holdings, what's the easiest way to buy a lot of them at once?

Got mine through Fexco in Killorglin. They are the agents for them.
I am thinking strongly of cashing them in. Won very little on them in the last four years and I have €12k worth.
Bit worried by all this bail-in talk he is going on with.

If my figures are correct it would seem the PB fund is now about 1,902,685,714 Euro as of the end of Nov 13,
Which means at the moment there are about 304,429,714 bonds.

During Nov I reckon the PB fund grew by 30,457,143 Euro,
Which means there will be an extra 4,873,142 bonds in each draw during Dec compared to Nov.

I would estimate that on average there was a net growth in the PB fund of 1,405,340 Euro for each working day during Nov.
An increase of 21,900 Euro per day over October

Oh, what a surprise on a wet and windy morning to get such a marvellous bunch of sunflowers! Thank you for that...it is much better than a "Sorry". I got €50, but, considering that they have my shirt, it is tinged with a bit of very prickly holly! A hopeless optimist, I keep

FYI. The % of the fund used to calculate the prizes is being reduced again in January 2014 from 1.75% to 1.6%.
All The prizes are the same as far as I can see except the €100 which will be reduced from 500 winners to 250.
I wonder what kind of response the government/NTMA would get if they went to the open market and offered to borrow 1.9 billion and only offer 1.6%
interest on it, me thinks they be told to f-off, would I be right???
