Its been documented here already but from the news http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/prize-bond-awards-slashed-along-with-state-savings-interest-rates-34775231.html. Basically return was potentially an average of 1.25% and now its been reduced to 0.85%.

€50 winnings arrived in post this morning from last Fridays draw.

The thing is, I checked on the prize Bond site last Friday afternoon and it said I had no new winners.

So when does their site update on Friday?

It was a nice surprise though:)

But do you have all your Bond numbers logged? Perhaps you have some you didn't list on the site?

Had another look. The site shows that I won €50 on the 17th but still saying that I have no new winners on the Banner at the top. I usually just log on and look for the Congratulations you have new winners bit. I must pay more attention to the dates in the past winners column in future.

Anyway, that's the 5th €50 so far this year on about €23k of bonds. my best year so far and still only June.

Nothing today on my 20k, my 30k saving bond matured, €1,200 interest on the 3 years, if I was to reinvest for another 3 years I'd only get €750, so it's gone into PBs, bringing my total to 50k, I'II see how that goes, 50k is enough, enough I say, I'm tired of crushing disappointment, the Friday feeling is turning sour:(

Today's million is that last of the ''2 monthly'' next million draw is in September, I had just purchased a 30k batch, then the new prize fund was announced, bad timing on my part, them bonds should arrive soon, I live in hope, I dream big, there's always next Friday, eh I mean next September:pac:

€100 win today, didn't know they still had €100 winners... Really wish they weren't slashing the prizes again, Prize Bonds are such fun when you have the odd win, then again I suppose the chaos brought about by our lunatic neighbours means I wont be investing in the markets for a while so I might aswell just shove it into Prize Bonds while I wait and cancel out the drop in chances of winnings with more bonds...

No win for me yesterday. I've had €25k in there for the last 18 months (and bought an additional 5k about 2 months ago) and have won a total of €250. Not great. Has anyone ever known of somebody to win the million?

I'm going to withdraw everything and go in the markets in a couple of months as I feel that my money isn't doing enough for me sitting in the State's coffers.
