Forgive my ignorance, but did Tom Kirby die?

Yes, our good friend Tom died in December 2008 after a battle with cancer.

One of Tom's final wishes was that his ashes would be scattered on the beach in Tramore where he was a regular competitor at the darts festivals.
His wish was granted by his long-time friend and doubles partner, Jack McKenna, and his widow Ann in 2009 and a memorial gathering was held in his memory twelve months later.
This year's gathering will be held on Saturday, September 24th., at 12 noon at the Tramore Autumn Festival.
