Buffet / BBQ / Finger Food Suggestions

Hi there, Just wondering do people have any suggestions for Buffet / BBQ / Finger Food. Ideally something that you just have to put into the oven and then on to a plate when done. I suppose so you are not stuck to the kitchen when everyone arrives.

My wife got a book from the library called Nibbles. It has hundreds of ideas for finger food/canape/nibbles.
Worth seeing if you can get a copy from your library or bookshop.

Make some smoked mackerel pate or some hummus a day in advance and keep in fridge. Then on the day serve up with crackers/ bread or julliens of raw vegs (carrot, chilli pepper etc).

had a bit of a do about a month ago in the house, and the wife arrived out from town tescos with 5 boxes of that crap spring rolls/samosas/etc etc...... jesus it was the pits, fish fingers and potato waffles would have went down better imo.
