The paper is worth 200 marks and you have 200 minutes to do it, so the general guideline is to spend the same amount of time as there is marks on a question, i.e. 60 mins for Hamlet, 50 for poetry etc.

Of course, that's if you start writing as soon as you get the paper, with no time allocated for choosing questions etc.

I'd suggest you have a plan for the exam and know what question you'll start with. Then set a timetable that you can have in the back of your head.
    Eg.
    2 -3.10 Comparative
3.10 - 4 followed by 4 - 4.20 Poetry (broken up into studied and unseen)
    4.20 - 5.20 Hamlet

The you just keep an eye on the clock, when the time is up move on.

I say spend 50 mins on the Comparative, 50 on Hamlet and then 50 on each section of the poetry Unseen and Prescribed.

I think that's too much for unseen
I will be dividing my time into
    10min Read the paper
    55min Hamlet
    50min Comparative
    55min Studied Poetry
    20min Unseen Poetry
    10min Read Over

I have only 50 min for Comparative as it is my Strongest part

50 minutes on unseen poetry?! That's a little much considering it's only worth 20 marks, I'd suggest giving it 20 minutes!

    (Section One)
    Single Text: 60 marks // 55 minutes

    (Section Two)
    Comparative: 70 marks // 1 hour

    (Section Three)
