Fire tenders on Dunmore Road this evening

    I passed two fire tenders on the Dunmore Road this evening, replete with blue flashing lights - one at the Uluru, another at the ORR roundabout in Ardkeen.

    Any idea what was going on? I didn't see any smoke! Flooding maybe?

    erm the proper name is actually fire appliance, but they can also be called a fire tender...or just a red lorry..just to clear it up..

    Think there was just a little oil spill, they were spreading that green stuff on the road when I passed.

    yeah. It is absorbant and the stuff they use is called ADSORB. For some reason. Dont ask me why!

    There must be some sort of training going on, I past a convery of 3 ambulances and a few cop cars and motorbikes, this evening at the Cove roundabout.
